So I haven't been online much lately... Lets see, what haven't I written about...
Working backwards -- According to work, I'm working 6 to close this weekend. I don't understand why, looking at fandango it appears that we're opening early for a Friday (first movie is 9 am), and there's nothing ridiculously late in the system (last is 11:30 pm), so either they're really trying to cut back on payroll, or they're secretly planning on adding some ridiculously late show times later on. Either way I don't like it.
Speaking of them cutting payroll, I got sent home early on Tuesday (left around 8:30 pm). Management's justification was that they couldn't send home the lead (which was Chris who had decided to demote himself to a regular employee and was refusing to do lead work for the rest of the night), and they couldn't send home the other cashier because he had already been sent home early on Saturday, so that somehow left me. Except I was also sent home early on Saturday, so that argument didn't really make any sense, but whatever. There are plenty of far more productive things I can spend my time on.
My next door neighbor is having some work done on his house (there are big holes in the outside walls that needed to be fixed and apparently he's having his roof replaced too). This means that if I don't wake up to the dog, I get woken up by a chainsaw :(
We set up our Christmas tree over this past weekend. Unfortunately (in my opinion) my Dad finally got his way this year and we ended up with a fake tree. Fake tree's are a pain in the ass to set up. It took me over an hour to get the branches looking right. Of course my dad was "conveniently" out during this whole process and thus avoided having to do anything. I did manage to take this pretty picture of it though:
I spent about 20 minutes taking pictures before I got that shot. I needed to use a tripod and had to set my SLR to a 6 second exposure time to make the lights look like that, but I think it came out well. I also got this shot of the dog sleeping under the tree:

In addition to my above complaints about the fake tree, I also got annoyed by our lack of colored lights this year (the fake tree has built in white lights so we didn't use the colored ones we normally would have). Both the outside of the house and the tree are all white. I don't like it. Of course, I, being me and all, spent a ridiculous amount of time on amazon until I found this fake, one foot, unlit tree, which I then stuck 6 feet worth of red and green lights on. My little tree is definitely brighter then my parents big tree, so I guess I win? :) It's currently running off of my xbox. I'm not really sure how as the xbox is turned off, but that doesn't seem to stop the lights from being constantly on :/

I decided to continue with ordering Christmas cards from Kodak again this year. Mostly due to a combination of it being easier to create cards using their website then to do everything from scratch in photoshop and the fact that I need to spend money there at least once a year in order to keep my account active. It ended up costing me a little over $50 this year. In case anyone's wondering what $50 worth of greeting cards looks like, I've uploaded screen grabs of them here.
Continuing backwards -- I got two birthday cards in the mail this year. One from Allstate and one from Cabrini. I also got a phone call from one of my uncles who wanted to know what kind of printer I though he should get for his Mac and who seemed completely oblivious to the fact that it was my birthday (despite the fact that I've had to fix his random computer issues often enough to know that my birthday is listed on the calendar he has sitting next to his monitor). Yea, I'm really not happy with my family right now :(
The Christmas gift idea list I gave to my parents is over here in case anyone's curious about what I asked them for. Also, my Thanksgiving photo's are here if anyone's feeling bored and wants to look threw them (it looks like I never got around to posting them?).
Wow, I definitely used three different photo hosting sites in this post. I should probably just pick one at some point and stick with it.
